Nature’s Own: Scalable Packaging Systems
& Global Master Templates
The Brief
With hundreds of SKUs in their portfolio, Nature’s Own required a design architecture that simplified the consumer journey through clear hierarchy and a strategic color-coding system. Partnering with the team at Cowan Design, I was responsible for the technical realisation of this massive brand evolution, ensuring the creative vision could be scaled accurately across a vast product range.
The Challenge
The complexity of this project lay in creating a "bulletproof" production system. I developed the Master Finished Art Templates used by the Sanofi in-house team to roll out hundreds of individual SKUs. The system had to be flexible enough to accommodate various packaging formats from small supplement bottles to large-format tubs while ensuring every asset met strict TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) standards and mandatory legal requirements.
Technical Focus & Deliverables:
Systems Design & Template Building: Developed master architectural files that allowed for seamless SKU expansion while maintaining total brand consistency.
Complex Hierarchy Management: Integrated intricate nutritional data, therapeutic claims, and mandatory text within a clean, navigable design.
Format Optimization: Engineered artwork to adapt across diverse substrates and packaging shapes without losing visual integrity.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Worked as a technical bridge between Cowan Design and the Sanofi internal production teams to ensure a flawless handover and rollout.
By industrialising the creative process through smart template design, I helped Nature’s Own maintain a premium, consistent presence across every pharmacy shelf in Australia.
