I'm Brian Hughes, a Sydney-based finished artist with over 20 years of experience across packaging, labels, and print collateral. What Is Finished Art?

Finished art is the process of taking a designer's creative work and preparing it for commercial print. It covers everything the printer needs but your designer may not have accounted for. Correct colour modes, bleed setup, barcode verification, mandatory compliance information, font checks, and file preparation to your printer's exact specifications.

It's not glamorous work, but get it wrong and you're looking at reprints, retailer rejections, or a finished product that looks nothing like what you signed off on.
